The central government may soon take the gratuity rules and give good news to the working class. The central government is planning to change some of the rules of gratuity. The government is considering removing the 5-year time limit of gratuity and making it 1 to 3 years. If the decision is taken then more people will get gratuity money than before.

The current rule requires an employee to work in the same company for 5 years for gratuity. Then some employees change the company only 5 years ago which benefits the companies.

The government is considering 2 options

Two options are currently being considered. One option is to change some sectors and the other is to reduce the gratuity deadline for all.

This can be caused by a change in the rule of 2 options

There are two main reasons for the change in gratuity. The first is job security which is lower than before. And second is the growing number of employees working on contract. As a result, companies only benefit from gratuity.

Gratuity is also given to a person who has been working in the same company continuously for many years apart from salary, pension and provident fund. A small portion of the gratuity is deducted from the employee’s salary. But a large part is provided by the company. Under the current system, a person is entitled to gratuity when he has worked in a company for at least 5 years. This rule applies to any company with 10 or more employees.
