Lord Krishna's birthday i.e. Janmashtami is celebrated every year in the month of Shravan on the eighth day of Krishna Paksha. Lord Krishna was born on this day hence it is called Krishna Janmashtami. In the month of Shravan, Balram was born on the sixth day and Krishna was born on the eighth day. Our scriptures and Puranas have beautiful descriptions of the birth of Lord Krishna.

It is written in the Bhagavad Gita that when Lord Krishna was born, Rohini was a constellation. On this day, at midnight, the moon rose for the darshan of Lord Krishna. This time people are confused about Krishna Janmashtami on which day Janmashtami will be celebrated. Janmashtami will be celebrated on August 12
There is a lot of confusion among the people about the date of Krishna Janmashtami this time because this time the three dates of Janmashtami are falling. The dates are August 11, 12 and 13 but which day will be considered correct. There must be Ashtami and Rohini constellations on the birth day of Lord Krishna.
However, such a situation often happens when this Ashtami Tithi and Rohini Nakshatra do not come together. A similar situation is being witnessed this time as well. The eighth date will start at 9:06 am on August 11 and end at 11:16 am on August 12, on the other hand, Rohini Nakshatra will start at 03:27 pm on August 13 and end at 5:22 am on August 14.

There will be Sarvarth Siddhi Yoga all day on 12th August
August 11 will not be the date of sunrise. The sunrise date is August 12. And the people of Vaishnava society believe in this date. Therefore, the Janmashtami festival from Mathura to the ISKCON temple will be celebrated only on August 12. The people of Grihastha Ashram will be able to fast and worship Janmashtami on 11th August as Ashtami is starting on this day.
On the other hand, people of Vaishnava society i.e. from Vaishnavism to saints will fast on 12th August. The special thing is that on 12th August, there will be Sarvarth Siddhi Yoga all day long. The work done in this yoga never fails.

Bathe Lord Krishna with Panchamrut and Ganga water
On this day the child form of Lord Krishna is worshiped. Before starting the puja, bathe Lord Krishna with Panchamrut and Ganga water. Then decorate with new clothes. Sacrifice sweets and offer Ganga water.
Krishna Janmashtami fast is opened only after 12 o'clock at night. Cereals are not used in this vow and fruits are made. On this day special decoration is done in every temple of the country. Temples are decorated and seated in hammocks.
