 AHMEDABAD: Five persons were killed and more than four others were injured in a tragic accident on Vadodara-National Highway.


Five persons from Ahmedabad Kalupur and Danapith have died and more than four others have been admitted to Nadiad Civil Hospital after a tragic accident between two cars near Nadiad at Ahmedabad-Vadodara national h-48 in the state late last night.

Where both conditions are serious. According to the details received, due to the holiday of Ravinar and the completion of a five-day mini-vacation, the traffic from Ahmedabad to Vadodara, which is considered to be very busy, was heavier today.

 At around 10 pm, a Maruti Swift and a Fortune collided head-on with each other at Tundel village near Nadiad's Peej Chokdi on the way from Ahmedabad to Vadodara when it started raining and both the cars were blown away.

Five persons in the car were killed on the spot, including Yakubbhai Fateh Mohammad Sheikh (52), Kauserbahen Yakubbhai Sheikh (50), Inaya Sahadbhai Sheikh (eight months) and Danapith Navo Vas, residents of Kalupur Ghee Bazar, Ahmedabad. Basimbanu Sheikh (U.26), Tanaj Basimbhai Sheikh (U.4).

A man, two women, an eight-month-old baby and a four-year-old girl have lost their lives. The blast caused a traffic jam for some time but immediately more than four persons injured in the accident were shifted to Nadiad Civil Hospital for treatment where the condition of two persons is being shown as critical.
