PM Modi will today launch a special scheme for taxpayers, a special honor to taxpayers
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday launched a scheme called 'Transparent Taxation - Honest Ka Samman' for honest taxpayers. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Minister of State Rajyavardhan Singh will also be present at the event, which will be held via video conference.
The Taxpayer Honor Scheme will be launched today
An official statement issued on Wednesday said that the Prime Minister would launch the 'Transparent Taxation-Imandar Ka Samman' forum on August 13 through video conferencing. Although the statement did not say anything about the reform but with the start of the forum it is hoped to take forward the reforms that have been made on the direct tax front in the last 6 years.
Reduction in company tax
The amendment seeks to reduce the company tax rate from 30% to 22% last year and to 15% for a new manufacturing unit and remove the dividend distribution tax, without the officials and taxpayers facing the same assessment.
Emphasis on simplification of direct tax legislation
Under the tax reform, emphasis is being placed on reducing tax rates and simplifying direct tax legislation, the statement said. Many initiatives have been taken by the CBDT to bring efficiency and transparency in the functioning of the Income Tax Department.
An important step towards a transparent taxation system
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaram also took to Twitter to hail the scheme as an important step towards providing a simple and transparent taxation system for India. Will be involved.
