 The number of coronary infections in the country has crossed 27 lakh, killing about 52 thousand people


The number of corona cases crossed 27 lakh on Tuesday after 55,079 new cases of covid-19 were reported in the country. So far 19.77 lakh people in the country have become infection free and the recovery rate of patients is now 73.18 per cent. The Union Ministry of Health informed about this. According to the latest figures released by the ministry at 8 am, there are a total of 27,02,742 cases of Kovid-19 in the country.

 At the same time, after a further 876 deaths in the last 24 hours, the death toll has risen to 51,797. Thus the death rate in the country is now 1.92 per cent. As per the information received, 6,73,166 people are still undergoing treatment, which is 24.91 per cent of the total cases. A total of 19,77,779 people have been infected so far.

3,09,41,264 samples of Covid-19 were tested in the country

On August 7, the Kovid-19 case crossed 20 lakh in India. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 3,09,41,264 samples of Kovid-19 were tested in the country till August 17, of which 8,99,864 samples were tested on Monday alone.

Deaths in the last 24 hours in the country

According to statistics, out of 876 people who lost their lives in the last 24 hours, 228 were from Maharashtra. Then there were 120 in Tamil Nadu, 115 in Karnataka, 82 in Andhra Pradesh, 66 in Uttar Pradesh, 51 in Punjab, 45 in West Bengal, 23 in Madhya Pradesh, 18 in Delhi, 15 in Gujarat, 13 in Kerala, 12 in Haryana, 11 in Rajasthan and 10 in Odisha. Apart from this, nine have lost their lives in Chhattisgarh, eight in Assam and Telangana, seven in Bihar and Goa, six in Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand and Uttarakhand, four in Puducherry, one in Tripura, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh and Manipur.

Maharashtra has the highest number of 20265 deaths

Out of a total of 51,797 people in the country due to Kovid-19, 20,265 have died so far in Maharashtra, the ministry said. In addition, 5,886 died in Tamil Nadu, 4,214 in Delhi, 4,062 in Karnataka, 2,800 in Gujarat, 2,732 in Andhra Pradesh, 2,515 in Uttar Pradesh, 2,473 in West Bengal and 1,128 in Madhya Pradesh. According to the Union Health Ministry, there are 887 in Rajasthan, 863 in Punjab, 711 in Telangana, 550 in Haryana, 548 in Jammu and Kashmir, 358 in Odisha, 250 in Jharkhand, 197 in Assam, 16 in Kerala and Uttarakhand. 158 people died due to corona virus infection. 150 in Chhattisgarh, 114 in Puducherry, 111 in Goa, 62 in Tripura, 30 in Chandigarh, 29 in Andaman-Nicobar Islands, 19 in Himachal Pradesh, 17 in Manipur, 17 in Ladakh, eight in Nagaland and six in Meghalaya in Arunachal Pradesh. Five patients from Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman-Diu and one from Sikkim have been reported dead.

70 percent of patients already had another disease

The health ministry reports that more than 70 percent of those who die from the infection already had the disease. He said his figures were being linked to data from the Indian Council of Medical Research.
